Providing a large number of first and second voters with information about parties and their politicians to promote willingness to go vote.
Problem to solve
Low turnout among young people at federal elections, especially valid for the group below age 21 with a turnout of < 65% compared to the overall average of 72%
Our solution
Informing young voters by setting up a panel discussion with the youngest candidates of to be elected parliament of each major political party. Objective of the event is to bring the youngest politicians together with their youngest voters and forster a mutal discussion. The young voters get active also prior the discussion by choosing their main topics of interest via social media survey.
What’s next
We started with DeineWahl! for the election of the German parliament on September 14th, 2017. Due to the very positive feedback from both the young voters and the young politicians, DeineWahl! took place for the Bavarian elections on September 18th, 2018 and the European elections on May 9th, 2019. With a year hiatus due to the pandemic, DeineWahl! is back for 2021 federal elections! Tune in on September 9th at 19:30!
