Quarterly speaker series event that has been running since 2016 featuring high profile thought leaders debating and discussing hot topics.
Problem to Solve
Munich is a thriving and diverse city with many change makers driving a positive impact within the city, country and world. We lacked a platform to showcase these efforts and inspiration to the community.
Our ShapeTalks bring community members, leaders and catalyzers together to share views and debate on various hot topics. In 2019, we have held two events: International Women's Day and Sustainable Business.
International Women's Day:
Leveraging the 2019 International Women’s Day campaign of #BalanceForBetter, we sought to amplify how balancing teams are better for us, celebrate the progress we have made and acknowledge what more needs to be done. We heard from panelists Mali M Baum (Founding Partner & CEO, WLOUNGE), Anna Kopp (Head of IT, Microsoft) and Alex Nusselt (Head of Web Apps & Portals, Siemens) about the approaches and techniques they have brought to their respective companies to build and sustain more diverse teams.
The European election and movements such as #FridaysForFuture with Greta Thunberg in front are pushing for more sustainable action. We explored questions such as: How can businesses change towards a lower environmental impact and still thrive? How can we walk the talk and convert good ideas into actionable steps? We hosted the following panelists: Florian Henle (Founder & CEO of Polarstern), Felix Müller (Managing Director, Henley Business School), Leon Varitmos (Head of Corporate Communications, Flix Mobility), Lauren Webber (Partnerships Officer, U.N. World Food Programme) and Fabian Eckert (Founder & CEO, Recup).
