Global Shapers Community

City-based hubs are the core of the global shapers community of 10.107 shapers in 446 hubs around the world in 151 countries. Each hub is required to undertake an impact-generating project to better their local community. Additionally, hubs organize workshops, meetings with leaders, and other activities that increase its members’ capacity for impact as current and future leaders. Hub activities are non-political, non-partisan, and always focused on the great public good.

Our VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT

OUR VALUES

Munich Hub Shapers are:

  • Aspiring leaders and role models in their professional, social, and civic lives

  • Diverse in their industries, backgrounds, and experiences

  • Act collaboratively in their professional and social work

  • Self-driven and motivated to actively work on a community-oriented project

As a group, we subscribe to the following values:

  • Impact: We are creating a positive and sustainable effect in Munich by addressing local issues. We focus our resources on activities that challenge the status quo, both in the community and within our hub. On a regular basis, we critically reflect on whether our projects and solutions have the desired impact.

  • Collaboration: We enable fellow Shapers to maximize their output in projects by combining their strengths and passions. Unified as a hub, we also translate strengths and passions into how we collaborate with our external partners by leveraging their interest in maximizing the outcome of our projects.

  • Ownership: We are responsible towards the society in Munich. This means taking care of projects, people, and the hub as if they were your own baby. Deliver!

  • Proactiveness: We are a risk-friendly and open-minded group, always attempting to put our ideas into practice. We empower each other to be exploratory, to try out new things to improve Munich. We are not discouraged by failures: If the project does not work out, we are fine with letting it go and moving on to even better ideas.
