Sustainability@School
Our Project
To solve the global and local environmental and social challenges facing our society today, we need fresh entrepreneurial minds that think sustainability from end-to-end. However, because sustainability is a complex issue, most firms struggle to adequately address it, despite sincere efforts.
We aim to tackle this challenge by educating our future generation of entre- and intrapreneurs about sustainability practices in business. We do this by providing secondary school students with workshops, case studies and study materials on "how to create sustainable businesses" to secondary school students as well as feedback and guidance on their existing business ideas.
To that end, we have partnered with business@school - a BCG initiative that offers secondary school students a yearlong program in which they work in small groups to analyze business strategies and develop their own start-up ideas. Given BCG's role as an official partner of the World Economic Forum (WEF), its extensive network of affiliated schools, and its growing focus on sustainability, it naturally emerged as the perfect starting point for this initiative.
However, we are planning to expand to other schools and programs as well as the program is supposed to grow organically and we believe any student interested should get the chance to educate themselves on this important topic.
So, in case you are a student or a teacher or know a school that might be interested in participating and educating themselves on sustainable businesses - let us know :)
