“Laura Zermin is a product manager at Temedica, where she works to revolutionise the delivery of digital healthcare by leading the conception and creation of the start-ups' most recent health app.
She has experience in running various entrepreneurial initiatives and has been part of the first phase of several start-ups. Her academic background lies in Environmental Technology and Development Studies, which is why she is passionately contributing to the Climate Change group within the Global Shapers Munich.
She has worked and lived in Taiwan, Colombia, the United Kingdom, Germany and Switzerland.

My name is Kevin Li and I am currently a research assistant in international law at LMU Munich. My research focus concerns the extraterritoriality of cross-border regulation. Being raised in both China and Germany, international trade and investment with China is another topic of interest. I am also the co-founder of Zizzle eLearning, Inc. We are solving the problem of learning Chinese through a mobile app that focuses on visualization and association instead of rote learning. We have were part of the 2016 Summer cohort of the US based accelerator BoomStartup. As of 2018, we are currently looking for educational and other partners to expand our market. Vanessa Graf, born in 1991 in Austria, studied in the Graduate Program “Finance and Information Management” (M.Sc. with honors) at the Technical University of Munich, majoring in Business Information Systems Engineering. Since 2017 she has been working as a Research Assistant and PHD Student at the FIM Research Centre of Fraunhofer FIT. Her research investigates the influence of environmental sustainability on technology acceptance of individuals. She joined the Global Shapers in 2017 and was elected curator of the Munich Hub in 2018.
As a Global Shaper of she engages in a Pen Pal project, which includes writing letters between African and German school children, leads an interview project, which is intended to be a cross-hub-collaboration between the Munich Hub and the Aguascalientes Hub and additionally, was an active member of the #ShapersUnited Orga Team.

He is a Senior Consultant at Oliver Wyman, focusing on the transportation industry, particularly railway. In the railway sector, he is specialized on enabling future digital trends such as connected passenger services, autonomous driving and predictive maintenance.
Jorma has an academic background in management and finance, he lived as part of his studies in the United States and shares experience in several other industries, such as automotive and aviation.
Franziska Brasse is currently a student at the University of Oxford, studying Law with German Law. In the future, she is planning on doing a Master in Global Health and then working in that area afterwards, tackling the challenges of health that we will face. She is particular concerned about population growth and would like to do more research in that direction. Besides that, she is active in Nepal with her charity “Vision for the Future” and wants to try enabling each child to get a fair chance in life. In her free time she loves horse riding and is active with Amnesty.

Born and raised in the US, Colin Benz studies political science in Munich, Germany. He received his BA in International Relations from American University in DC in 2014 and he has been fortunate enough to live, work and study in Austria, Germany, Italy and Turkey. Mr. Benz is a passionate language autodidact and supporter of cross-cultural communication to further international understanding. Fluent in English, German and Italian, as well as possessing lower levels of Dutch, French, Portuguese and Turkish, Mr. Benz looks forward to supporting opportunities to help further integrate Europe and the world through Global Shapers. Only by interaction and mutual understanding can the world more easily solve problems.

Laura Cushing is a Senior Category Merchant Manager for Amazon and participant in the Amazon Consumer MBA Program in Munich, Germany. As a Global Shaper in the Munich Hub, she is passionate about diversity inclusion and advocating for gender equality and youth engagement. Paula Espinosa Valarezo

Paula Espinosa Valarezo was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. She holds a BA in Liberal Arts and a Master Degree in Creative Writing by The University of Edinburgh. She is a bilingual writer, and is currently working on her first novel. Former Volunteer Coordinator at Techo Ecuador. Founder of the Book Club #ReadingWomenforChange featuring the most influential contemporary Women authors, where readers are challenged to discuss, inform themselves, and take action in their communities becoming advocates for Women Rights. She is a Women Deliver Young Leader, and recently attended the Youth Future Conference in Hangzhou, China to conduct a workshop on Storytelling. She also teaches 'Introduction to Academic Writing' at USFQ (Universidad San Francisco de Quito). She is a decent cook, and an Instagram doodler.

Natalia Filvarova is a Neuroscientist in the making, specialised in human and animal brain imaging. She loves research, is passionate about science and believes that education and science communication are fundamental to bringing our society forward. Thus, outside academic work (and often instead) she devotes her passions to social work and community involvement in these fields. Currently she is dedicating my time to establishing a Neuroscience summer school for children, and she has previously worked in various education promotion initiatives, as well as support groups for researchers and scientists. She considers herself vaguely European, being born in Ukraine, raised in Italy and UK, and currently living in Germany. She loves brownies, makes dollhouses and clothes, misses Oxford black tie events and dreams of a dog.

After having worked for Peace Nobel Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus in 2010/2011, Aline Laucke became passionate about developing new business models as well as financing mechanisms that can tackle the world’s most pressing needs. This is why she decided to dive deeper and start a PhD in the field of management and organizational behavior about social enterprise, blended value creation and innovative health care provision at the base of the pyramid. Luckily she became part of an international research network initiated by Siemens Stiftung and Zeppelin University that investigates social entrepreneurial models in Africa and Latin America. In 2017, she finalized her PhD with honours. Otherwise she is a travel maniac, would-be surfer, and happy when she gets to speak different languages. Currently she full dedicates hertime to hertwo kids - a 3 year old boy and a 7 months old daugther - which she considers as a great privilege and creative break.

Akilnathan Logeswaran, short Akil, is a Human Rights Activist and Visionary for a united Europe. He is passionate about supporting refugees, Social Media, Effective Altruism and paying it forward. As Co-Founder of Stand Up for Europe Munich and Member of the World Economic Forum Policy Group to #RenewEurope he was recognized by the Forbes Magazine in 2018 as 30 Under 30 in Europe. For his dedication to support refugees escaping mine fields during the so-called migrant crisis in 2015 he was listed by the Real Leaders Magazine as one the top 100 Visionary Leaders (Under 30). Akil currently serves as an honorary Member of the Global Shapers Advisory Council for Hub Engagement from 2017-2019 and is on the pursuit to finding his next dream job on the crossroads of the Public Good, Digital Engagement & Policy for Impact.

I, Philomena Poetis, founded Munich Members to implement interdisciplinary social impact projects between Munichs creative class, politicians and decision makers of the economy. Next to my Ph.D project on Intercultural Aspects in Social Media in Pakistan and Germany, I enjoy writing as a freelance journalist on topics of music and foreign politics.
Furthermore, I have been trained as classical singer from an early age and love performing classical and opera repertoire at international events and gatherings.
I strongly believe in giving something back, so I support organizations such as Honorary Consulate of Pakistan in Bavaria, HIRE, German Pakistani Forum and Junge Opernfreunde München and organize events such as Poetry Slams to overcome stereotypes.

Born and raised in Indonesia, Ashni Sastrosubroto graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia, majoring Design.
In 2017 she was diagnosed with blood cancer (leukemia) and received chemotherapy treatment for 2 years. Her first book is about her experiences during that time, and it became a best seller book in Indonesia. Currently she is´working on her fourth book.
She owns a restaurant in Jakarta, Never Been Better, and together with her high school friends, she established a watch company, named Pala Nusantara.

I, Vikitor Weber, explain new technologies in an understandable manner to corporations, SMEs, academia and governmental entities, focussing on the built environment. In that capacity I consult, publish in internationally relevant media outlets or speak at conferences.
I hold two business related Master degrees and pursue a BSc in Computer Science at LMU in my spare time. I love cooking, cycling, international relations, sustainable agriculture and cyber security.

Korbinian Weisser is Junior Investment Manager at Holtzbrinck Digital and focuses on investments in Digital Science. He globally sources opportunities and is also active in portfolio management. Prior to Holtzbrinck, Korbinian founded Skive, an education-technology company that caters to over 250.000 users and received several venture capital funding rounds. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science from Technical University of Munich as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. During his studies, he was awarded a scholarship from the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation. Besides his interest in investing and innovation, Korbinian an avid hunter and cook and a little too interested in colorful socks.
Mehdi is currently working in Management Consulting for Deloitte in Munich. He completed his studies in MSc Digital Project Management at ESCP Europe with honors and is Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®
Besides school, Mehdi made his way up to play in the selections for the U16 football national team. He fundraised two projects by running a marathon.
Mehdi is passionate about increasing the connection and friendship between different nations and their values. He has been working and studying for nearly seven years abroad in various countries since he left his hometown Augsburg. He returned in 2018 and transferred to our Munich Hub after being previously in the Dublin Hub.

I, Thomas Zschocke, am fascinated by the interplay of business, technology and policy. Therefore, I worked in tech startups (Rocket Internet, Uber) and a diplomatic mission (EU) – and studied Political Science as well as Management & Technology in Germany, the USA and China.
Currently, I’m writing my master's theses on policy challenges of autonomous driving (LMU & TUM), and will start working as a consultant this summer (BCG). I’m passionate about promoting the European Idea – especially since Brexit! I therefore co-created the WahlSwiper App, I’m active at Pulse of Europe, Volt and Stand Up For Europe, and work as EU Student Ambassador. Besides the European Idea, I also love Techno and playing Bach.
Since the beginning of 2018 I am developing David's Dearest to promote exciting musicians as well as their music and to curate and present interdisciplinary concert formats, all while still expanding my existing agency business, providing tailer-made websites and social media consulting to artists, agencies, festivals and presenters.
I'm an cultural entrepreneur living in Berlin, Munich and Italy. As a son of an author and a musician & festival founder, I have been closely drawn to many art forms from my early childhood on.
During my time at school and university, I co-founded the accessoiry label RAPHAEL ROGGENDORF and then started an artist agency working with soloists and chamber music ensembles from the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic and concert presenters all around the world.
